That's why buying from Amazon might be a good idea. If it doesn't work,
Amazon will stand behind you on the return policy whereas it may be more
difficult with eBay. I would imagine that Amazon requires vendors to
have a solid return policy in order to participate in marketplace.
Also, at least one of the units I saw on Amazon was offered and
fulfilled directly from Amazon and I know that Amazon will offer a
return/refund if it doesn't work for you.
