I just use resistors. I standardized on using the IIgs pinout back when I was doing arcade PCB repair. Arcade boards use the same voltage levels. I either make a special PCB to convert other computers to the correct analog level, or more often, just stick resistors inside the cable that goes from the old computer to the DA-15 connector.
