Bill,
Darwin's initial release was in 2000. It's not a kernel, but a complete
OS. It's essentially OS X minus all the proprietary bits. OS X's kernel is
XNU (Mach plus some FreeBSD bits).
OS X and various Linux distros share some bits and pieces, and certainly
some design philosophy, but OS X is definitely not Linux.
....Obligatory on list topic content :-)....
Is there a cable to csave(m) to an audio file through a computer's mic
port? I've got one to cload(m) from a wav/mp3/aiff, etc. Any difficulty in
crafting a cable to do both?
