I have to agree that Gene's script is probably a Bad Idea.  These
types of tools tend to work fine for the author (who understands what
it does very well) but cause trouble for both users and the folks
maintaining the thing(s) that have been automated.  I very much
appreciate the work Gene has done and the sentiment of sharing, but in
this one particular case I think it's not helpful in the long run.

That, and as Tormod pointed out, it only takes three short commands to
sync and build NitrOS9.
