 I also used something like this to repair a flex ckt on a coco keyboard. 
So, I looked it up
 What I found was something similar to what I used, years ago. I Googled 
"Circuit Repair paint" and found this....

  I think a more likely culprit is cracked traces in the ribbon cable,
  which can be mended with some sort of conductive paint product whose
  name escapes me.  Something, I believe, originally designed to repair
  traces in auto rear  window defrosters.
