That is correct.
sIDE ROMs are decoded with SCS to get to the proper boot rom. The CF/IDE/ATA/ATAPI hardware is all IOmapped so the switch is a don't care on position.
Use MPI pokes to change...don't recall ATM, FF7F???
You can mod the autoexec.bas program to do this for you after it boots off the ROM/CF.
That way you don't have to slide the switch.

I'm trying to use both, but I noticed I need to boot setting the MPI to
slot 3 (superIDE) and once booted set to 4 (fdc) to be able to use floppy
disks with DRIVE OFF or even in NitrOS-9. It will only acess the disks if I
set back to 4.
Is that correct ? I'm afraid to break the button in the long run. Isn't
there a poke to change the slot ?
