Ah. I never used HD disks on the CoCo till I couldn't buy the 720K rated
3.5" floppy disks. Plus I had the floppy controller that could be modded
to work at HD data rates. So I used the HD select switch on the floppy
drive to turn on/off the HD mode of the floppy controller on the CoCo3.
Though now I am using tape on the HD disks like you are talking about. :D
