To stay on topic, I will stay to this thread for comparisons between
Basic09 and MW Basic.

DIGITS, FILSIZ, INKEY all seem to be available in v2.1. This means the
authors listened to the userbase early on in MW Basic's development. It
looks like the only piece newer is the use of [ ] to extend the depth of
arrays. V2.4 didn't provide any examples of its use.

Syntactically, Basic09 and MW Basic are identical otherwise. Internal
structure is different, as expected.

I will post more as I learn it.
