Yes, the CCR-83 has the pause and IIRC monitor.  I found the CCR-81/82 
(Grey/White) to be slightly more reliable than the CCR-83.  The CCR-81/82 
has AC in or 4 C batteries while the CCR-83 needs 6 volts DC in or 4 AA 
batteries.
