You might check out the MENU utility that is part of Extended ADOS-3.
It is in part inspired by Jeff Francis' Disk Utility program that I
believe you're referring to, and includes a Scan option that displays
contents of ascii files and start/end/exec addresses for binary files.

Hi,
In the doc's I see a SCAN command that starts to be the "Viewer" concept
that is the heart of Magellan 2.0. (Two Viewers)
Here is my current list of Magellan 2.0 Viewers. Please realize that as the
program was written for MSDOS 8.3 filenames in 1990 and there are
many problems using it on Windows and many of the viewers no
longer find their format of files to display. So "Generic Text", "Ascii",
"Generic Binary" and "Text Editor" are most often used.

Look here for a screen shot of Magellan with my CoCo 3 "Sticks.BAS" program
displayed. (It was pure chance that the .dsk file was viewable so well with
the "Generic Text" viewer.)
