Its pretty much a non-issue anyway Brian.

For me, being on a 3 megabaud cable circuit, if I don't try to use port 80,
which they block coming my way in order to force me to use their web
services that they can in turn load my pages up with advertising, I can
otherwise serve directly from this machine, so I do, on port 85. So if
mine gets mucked up, its up to me to fix it. I have my router forward
incoming port 85 to this machine, and apache (httpd) takes care of the
rest.

Not as speedy of course as a commercial server could be, but AFAIC, it goes
with the $35 a month I pay for the 3 megabaud connection. I have to setup
the links from /var/www/html/gene that make it all work, and give
everything a user:group of apache:apache else apache cannot access it, but
those are relatively minor details once gotten used to.

If I should forget to set those perms, be sure and give me a shout, pm or
list & I'll fix it asap.

I should investigate & see what if anything is assigned to the 6309/6809
ports & put it there. My sig will advise if I do. ;-)

Cheers, Gene
