The suffixes were different from part to part. Some of them the last two letters denoted the in 
house code name for the part. Such as the MC68HC05SC was the Starchip used first for 
DSP in alpha pagers. Later was replaced by the MC6HC05WJ, Windjammer. The later had 
an interleaver circuit and a bunch others to help inthe decoding of the four layer protocol for 
the Flex sytems. Those two and the MC68HC11PH8 which had 60K of ROM and 2K of RAM 
was used a lot in the 2, 4 and 8 line alpha pagers as well as some of the numeric pagers. 

Yeah it was fun just trying to keep up with the numerous variations of the two processors.
