Please be advised that while I didn't know John personally, it always 
saddens me when a member of our elite list passes.  Many of us on this list 
have reached what some would call advanced years, including me, so the 
unspoken thought is wondering how much time any of us have left.  Please 
accept my (Gene Heskett's) condolences.
