PS: Took the place apart, only drawing blood once, and found one unused 4
pin din connector and a 6 foot cable with 4 pin connectors on both ends,
but no db9 female plugs, so I guess I go to the shack anyway. I avoid that
place if I can, but the avoidance is a 70+ mile round trip from my 20. :(
I can buy several of those db9's from Jameco for the price of the gas for
that trip.
I looked up the FTDI parts, and they can do a megabaud, so that shouldn't
be much of a problem. I presume the java server that runs on here can use
a /dev/ttyUSB port?
