[Coco] Restoring Yellow Cases

The yellowing affect on the CoCo2 and CoCo3 cases is a common occurrence but I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to reverse the appearance?  Is the yellowing only a surface phenomenon or is it completely through the case brought on by chemical changes in the plastic due to heat or sunlight?

Any ideas on whether a bleach bath is a bad thing to try, or lemon juice, etc. in an effort to restore the original look of the computer case?
