Yes, I second that! Shine'm up good with a regular pink pencil eraser.
Alcohol does not remove oxidation. A product called DeOxit works great.
I used it on two coco3's on all sockets and chips to bring it back to
life been working great ever since.
You might take a good look at the rompack conector on the coco. Perhaps
someone got some tape, etc stuck in there while pulling the code off of
some paks.
