Photo 2: Breadboard debug. The gate level TTL model of the processor
involves ten boards of 80 to 120 integrated circuits each. Many of the
required 10,000 connections will be wrong.

Look under the lady's hand, that's where all the probes appear to be 
connected.

Anyone have the original Byte issue date, the picture may be better in the 
mag.

Also note that the original breadboard was done with LS-TTL gates. That
would be nice to see.
