ROM, CF, SD, microSD, MMC, etc...
Those are just storage media methods, nothing novel or new.
SuperDriver is bootable, the driver, if set, will query the drive and format the drive for you. No cyl, sid, etc. to figure. That has been done for almost 3 years now.
Geez time flies.

Yeah, we just need to get Mark to put a basic bootable version of Nitros on an SD card along with a directory with all the additional drivers and such for customizing. No need to use a ROM!

The Coco OS9 could be made to run totally out of ROM if one had the desire to do so. It probably would be a nice feature to run in an embedded applications where hard drive and floppy drives are not an option. Today with MMC and Flash drives that is not so much a major requirement.
