You could try Dynastar but it's kind of annoying to use as a programmer's
editor.  It also uses termset.

Compare the termset entry to your systems termcap/terminfo entry,
something might be different.  Or you may need to play with the
command-line options to scred.

Try using display to sent raw codes back to your terminal and make
sure it's acting correctly.  Some terminals (and terminal emulations)
are fussier than others.
