I just noticed there is a ddh0 descriptor in the source as well..
maybe this can be used to switch dd to the virtual hard disk at boot?
this would be almost what you need, since I think then d0 would be
free after bootup, only needed to start things off.  I'll do some
experimenting :)  Still new to all this.
