ok, well that was easy

a quick search of ubuntu repos and there is a pdf2djvu convertor

to install it is easy as 

sudo apt-get install pdf2djvu

for windows land.....its almost as easy

trustfm have taken the source and made a windows version too for those who use it

i will investigate this later down the track though.but for those interested you can convert what pfd files you have now to djvu and do it all for free.
