The early CoCo 1 (and VideoTex) cases with the label on the left were
black plastic underneath the silver paint.  The area immediately
surrounding the keyboard was unpainted so the black color blended with
the keyboard bezel.

With the center-label cases they switched to a light gray plastic and
left no area unpainted.
