 The bios directory was not there. So, I created one and placed the ROM 
inmage there.
 The result I originally got without that file and directory was....
<proposed video mode not supported on device \\.\video1

 I clicked on OK and the next error was:

<Unable to initialize Direct 3D>

 This was the same before I installed the ROM image

 The older MESS 0123 did at least allow Disk Basic to work. But, it wouldn't 
boot OS9, Nitros0 or any OS9 games.
 It would either return to the OK prompt, lock up with "OS9 BOOT" message or 
crash.
 I start it with Color Computer 3, NTSC 6809

 Dangit!
