I have another question about colors on the VDG, not to take this more  
off topic than it already is!

What's up with the funky choice of color palettes in some of the  
graphics modes?  Green-blue-yellow-red, and cyan-magenta-orange- 
white.  I would have thought color modes that included both black-and- 
white would be the most useful, which is why the artifact modes proved  
so popular (black-white-red-blue).

The default black on green text screen was pretty nuclear, too!
