Ya,  I took it off and threw it away!  about 18 years ago.  I use the PC 
power supply to supply the coco with 12, and 5 volts. The regulator is 
not used, so the heat sink is not used.  It was been working great ever 
since.

I put my 40 pin connector at a 45% angle back over the MB, and use a 
Disto Super II with a 4in1, no multipack  Fits great in a mini tower.
