This is true...At the time, all computer magazines had cover dates for the
month after they were released.  Rainbow released with a cover date for the
month of release.  There is a write up about it in the June 1983 issue
explaining why they skipped the May cover date.

I don't think there is a May 1983.   Due to some "adjustment" to  release
dates of the magazine they skipped May 1983.    I had all  issues from
the beginning until about 1992 and there was no May 1983 issue.
They jumped from April 1983 to June 1983.
