We were spoiled by 25-cent floppies.  One dollar is still cheap; the first disks I bought from Radio Shack cost $10 for 3 single-sided disks.  I was happy with that price until seeing disks for 45 cents advertised in the Rainbow.  I bought 10 of those, but only six would format.
