Well I already have a small bare board that turns 120VAC to 12VDC, so was
going to mount that inside :)

I have only mounted two fans in CoCo cases. A 120 volt pizio crystal
DragonFly fan in my original CoCo 1 and a 1.6 inch fan in my main CoCo 3.The

DragonFly

The DragonFly was connected to the AC side of the transformer. I shut the
whole system down with the switch on a power strip. For the CoCo 3 I ran a
pair of leads to the 12 volt supply of my hard drive case.

The DragonFly in my CoCo 1 was placed on the underside of the top of the
case with double sided tape, oriented to blow across the transformer. More
or less to pull air from the right vent and encourage it out the left vent.

On the CoCo 3, I cut out a section of vents in the top of the case and
wedged the fan in blowing up and out. IIRCC, it was over the 512K memory
expansion board.

My understanding is that there is no safe place on the mainboard to draw
enough power for a radial fan.

A 6 to 12 volt DC wall wart should do well.

One could take the wall wart apart, but, why?
