A 2764 EPROM is a 28-pin device. As far as the controllers from Radio Shack 
are concerned, only the FD-502 has a 28-pin socket that will accept a 2764.  
All previous models used a 24-pin socket that was designed to accept an 
MCM68366 mask programmable ROM, or the EPROM equivalent which is the 
MCM68764/66.

Cloud 9 sells the "DOS Adapter" which allows a 2764 or 27128 to be used in 
the older 24-pin socket controllers.
