Wrong. Canada Post has a special rate for small packets to the USA.

Light Packet: 380 mm x 270 mm x 20 mm up to 50 gm is $1.86 + GST which is 
$1.97 and would cover one cassette tape.

450% is too much of an increase to be reasonable, and this guy has had 
complaints about his shipping prices and performance.

However my complaint is his shitty attitude which is always a big red flag.
