I am almost embarassed to say that two years ago I found a mint
condition CoCo 1, gray-cased, for $5 at Goodwill. I snatched it up
and smiled all the way to the counter. A year later I was cleaning
out some CoCo stuff and trying to raise funds to keep the website
fees paid, and listed that CoCo on ebay. Some told me not to run it,
but I took a chance anyway.
Other CoCo's were selling for hundreds at times, but even though I
have a 100% feedback rating and 100+ score I think at the time, the
auction flopped and I ended up having to sell it to the only bidder
for less than $10. This CoCo should have sold for a good chunk of
change, but because you take what you get on Ebay, that's what I
did. Let this be a lesson... don't run your prized CoCo's on Ebay
unless you're willing to give them away for free.
