Far easier is to patch TSEDIT for OS9 to mimic VI. 

Also include TSSPell and TSWord for OS9.

The three by itself makes a nice package. Used it many times to do work for 
classes when I was at Palm Beach Community College. Only stepped  up to a 
386 back in the early 90's due to the need to run programs like Spice and other 
circuit simulators.
