It also doesn't address the real problem:  the change in pitch where the 
split occurs. Mine bind when that tooth tries to pass the other gear.

You can add the printer for the TI CC40 to the list.

There are two of these in all these things:  one for moving the paper 
(platten?) and one for moving the pen carousel.

Given the number (i.e. percentage) of these that you find split, I think 
most will agree that they were designed/manufactured wrong.

The drill bit I was using doesn't seem to be removing any material. What 
kind and size of bit have others tried?
