On David Keil's CoCo 3 emulator page it states "Note:
Hardware
emulation that requires access to PC hardware such as: Sound / Joystick
/ Floppy or Serial I/O are not supported in Windows 2000 or XP. So you are giving up a lot of functionality if you are using Windows XP and want to run his emulator.
I
have found a way around this though and it is working well for me. I
like David's emulator much better than MESS. Grab yourself a copy of
DosBox from http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1
then create a profile for the emulator and you are off and running. I
am using this method and have full sound, hardware, joystick use now
under Windows XP. DosBox is also good for running all those old DOS
games that Windows XP does not like to run.
