Try my IDE_DETECT program from OS9/NitrOS9 (I believe Boisy has it up
on the Nitros9 project website). Older ATA hard drives would not be ATAPI
compatible... ATAPI was a later standard (originally for CD-ROM's) that is
closer to SCSI than ATA. ATA is the original hard drive standard, and the
protocols are completely different.
