Gene, what you noted is an elaboration on what Ward said.  Basically, 
he knows too much; no lawyer wants anyone on a jury who has a lick of 
common sense or knowledge about legal foundations.  Lawyers rely on 
ignorance in the jury box to win their cases.  I've been excused twice 
-- I'm self-employed, and that means they can't count on an employer to 
pay my jury pay.
