ROM stuff has its advantages when you are in the middle of a field 
with no power and it is dark. Add to that you want to power and 
control a telescope. Personally I want something when I turn the 
unit on it will be ready to go and no movable parts that can break 
very easily. 

Yes what I want is a embedded dedicated controller. That is what I 
am designing and in the what the hech mode why not make it 
expandable?
