The funny part is that you can almost imagine the authors in their 
mystical robes preaching their "findings" to members of the "Marketing 
Cult".  Their "findings" are not new; all humans have one or more 
"religion(s)", whether they accept the fact or not.  I'll bet they 
don't even see themselves as part of a "Scientism Cult", and would 
resent being tagged as such.  What would be interesting is where they 
are taking their "findings" with respect to how marketers can increase 
the profits of their clients, who may be fellow worshippers of the god 
of market share.  You can be sure they are planning to use it on the 
"unbelievers" who buy their goods.
