I am not trying to argue or fight ethier!
I am not putting the "re-building" the CoCo down ethier, or even the USB, I 
am just asking WHY!( It seems that most believe it to be the "holy Grail" 
for the CoCo) People think I am argueing and being thick headed, but that is 
not the case here. I want to understand.
But everyone is saying WHAT we can do, and how much less it will cost. I am 
just trying to figure out WHY (besides cost and when hardware becomes 
imposible to replace). I am not trying to say don't do it. All I am saying 
is that it does not make much sense (to me), when we all ready have most of 
the "Stuff" USB will make use of, without buying a USB controller and in 
most cases a Hub or more. There are THOUSANDS of printers on the market, and 
a different driver will have to be written for each. This just does not seem 
feasable, for not very many people have the knowledge or expertize to write 
a driver for thier devices.
You were commenting on the cost of a replacement Floppy. Cloud 9 has 
refurbished ones for as little as $15.
Also it was mentioned "what about keyboards". Have you taken a CoCo keyboard 
apart? I doubt it if those things wont last another 50 years! They are so 
simple in design and yet so robust, also you can find CoCo 2's all day long 
on e-bay for less then $10, heck I sell them for less then $10 on my online 
store. I know at least 1 person on this list that has ALOT stockpiled. 
Keyboards and supplies of keyboards will be around for another 30 years. I 
just don't buy the argument that hardware is becoming scarce. Yes- some 
parts are harder to come by, but between e-bay and Cloud 9, you can just 
about find anything if you are willing to wait. Thow in small sites like my 
on-line store, and you will find the hardware is out there and availbe.
