First of all, thanks for the offer!
At the moment I can't work on anything since my main development box
is over 200 miles away until next week (it's a new job thing).
My personal box is a 2.4GHz WindowsXP box but most of the real work I
do is under Solaris or Linux so I'm flexible. I have cygwin and I
could set up a dual boot system to run Linux if needed.
When I get my other machine I need to knock out a hardware project for
another machine and then I can think coco again. I just bought 20
sound chips off of ebay for it and I need to finish that just so I
don't have all the parts sitting around!!!
After that we'll see. Right now my workload is light so it's a good
time to finish stuff.
