[Coco] A couple of questions

The coco boots the same with or without the controller plugged in. No sign of disk
basic. Do I need to have the drives attached to the controller to boot into
disk basic? I don't remember seeing any lights on the drives but I didn't look to
close. I'll check the power supply when I get home.
