[Coco] [Color Computer] Requesting .pdf help...

Acrobat's downsampling is part of the problem - Acrobat v6 generates a .pdf
that is unacceptable. I have systematically tried multiple settings in
Acrobat 6 - everything from it's "adaptive compression" to manually setting
downsample settings. When using a 300ppi source image the downsampling
introduces a lot of artifacts. It's only when I use a 100ppi image that I
am able to produce .pdf files that look acceptable (as evidenced by
test2.pdf on my web server) and are of the correct size.

If I cannot correct this to my satisfaction I will simply not include
searchable text as an option for the .pdf documents.

Regards,
Michael Harwood

Acrobat Capture has the option of downsampling the image after OCR is
complete.

I believe you have said that you have access to Acrobat Professional 6.0. It
includes Acrobat Capture.
