This is a circumvention provision, but it's still being adjudicated, as any
taking-apart can be considered circumvention. Two cases (garage door
openers and inkjet cartridges) have apparently gone the defendent's way,
which is interim good news for the tinkerer. I wouldn't want to be a test
case, especially with the Induce Act to be resubmitted in this more
corporate-pliant congress.
