[Coco] [Color Computer] 16550

It's my understanding that the 6551 has a problem with losing a byte during
the CTS change.. or something like that.
I have always had problems transferring stuff between my Intel boxes and the
cocos. However, I've never experienced problems when using two cocos (using
the 6551).
Hmm... I wonder.

The 16550 chip.. is it software compatible with the 6551?
If not, is there a driver and a device descriptor (OS9 of course) for the
16550?
Can the Device Descriptor be altered to reflect the hardware address of the
chip?

 Where can I find this info?
