The reason to get something like this would be to have a clean PCB... if
I were to use perfboard and hand solder it
a) it would be a mess
b) it wouldn't work :-)
c) even if it did it would probably fall apart or the caps would blow up
and kill me

I guess there's a reason I became a firmware engineer instead of a
electrical engineer!

But yeah it is expensive. Unless they are manufacturing large quantities
though, I imagine these prices are about as good as it gets for what you
get...

Could try the laser printer thing and make my own PCBs...

Anyway, back to hacking on DLPilot...
