No, the coco monitors horizontal scan rate is essentially the same as
your tv, at 15,750 lines/per second. The pc's 'vga' range doubles
that to about 31khz/sec. The horizontal output transformer and
deflection yoke both lose 95% of their efficiency when you double the
scan rate. Thats if the circuitry in a coco monitor could actually
sync to the higher frequency, which it cannot. The picture tube
itself could be used I suppose, but you would have to figure out a
way to wrap it up in all the electronics of a regular pc monitor. It
would make a low quality picture even then though it did work, its
just not sharp enough for that.
