Have you tried one of the standard OS-9 terminal programs such as 
OSTerm? These program will program the /t2 port as needed from within 
the program. I've been able to run an RS-232 pack and OSTerm at 19200 
baud without problems to a PC using Hyperterminal. The only critical 
issue is correctly matching the transfer protocols. For example, the 
Hyperterminal Ymodem is Batch Ymodem in OSterm.
