Thanks Neil! Never thought of opening the drive latch. I guess that
completely removes the possibility of making a disk image though - Virtual
drive latches in an emulator aren't so easy to open ;>
Anyone got a rough walkthrough for sands of Egypt?
My all time favorite game for coco has to be Cave walker (even if I never
finished it - came very close though). I even mapped out all the caverns and
everything.

Back it up. Start it, then open the drive when it tries to do a disk access.
Then close the drive. IIRC, this fakes out the copy protection (I did this 20
years ago).
Yes, I did wade through both of these. It's the Infocom ones that are tough.

I never did have Dallas Quest but I am similarly stuck in "Sands of Egypt". I
could never get past the first couple of moves. I think my disk is still
working. I would love to back it up but it has copy protection on it.
I know I am mainly silent on this listing as other commitments usually keep
me too busy to delve back into my coco, but I'd just like to share a thanks
with everyone who keeps it alive. Stephen Blunt
