Speaking of these types of definitions, back in 85 or so, I submitted a 
"Snigglet" to the HBO show "Not Necessarily the News" and it made it on the 
air.  Stuart Pankin did the skit.  You might know Stuart for later playing 
tiny parts in movies and shows, and his brother is doing all of those silly 
Dyteck.com commercials today.

Anyway, a snigglet is a word that *should* be in the dictionary, but isn't.

My snigglet was:

"Televator: the rolling line on a television when the horizontal hold isn't 
adjusted."

So, I invented the word televator, and Stuart depicted what one looked like 
by the show techies simulating the viewer's screen rolling up and over, 
while Stuart tried to look up onto his other self as he read the Snigglet.

Unfortunately, that was my 15 seconds of fame (yet to be outdone by 
myself?)  :)

Rich Hall sent me some autographed crap and the Snigglet becames theirs, 
later to appear in the board game by the same name and some desktop cube 
calendars... no telling what else.  I just found the game at Goodwill 6 
months ago, btw, and it's in there on a card.
