A misplaced decimal point perhaps?

Well I think it's safe to say this seller just succeeded in incurring
some ebay fees for this auction, to no useful purpose, since that book
ain't gonna sell.

The only other thing I noticed is that it is a "buy it now" auction. It
only takes a click or two and you will have won the auction. Maybe he
has a thousand stupid auctions like this and hopes someone will click by
mistake. I took a look at his other auctions. He has a lot of books for
sale, and a very high number at >$100. He also has a lot of books at
reasonable prices, which I guess is to keep his feedback positive.

Fishing for idiots.
